Patrick Manning rowed at Northeastern University where he won the IRAs in 1988. He graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Finance (1990). Patrick rowed on five national teams (1989-92, 1994) and stroked the Men’s 4- to a Silver Medal in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. He also won Silver Medals at the 1991 World Championships (M4-) and the 1990 Goodwill Games (M8+).
After graduating from Harvard Business School in 1994, Patrick spent 19 years at Bain & Company mainly in London, with 11 as a Partner. In 2014, he was hired by his client, Anglo American, as Group Head of Strategy. There he designed and led a transformation that resulted in a 10x improvement in share price. Patrick left Anglo recently and is currently sitting on the Board of a $1B+ beauty and skin care company and a fast growing start-up, and is working on transitioning back to the West Coast of the U.S. where both his sons will be in university.
Patrick has an extensive network both inside and outside of the U.S., and has been heavily involved in fund raising efforts for large scale not-for-profits including Right to Play and the Mayor’s Fund for Poverty and for Harvard Business School.
